Porter Airlines - Flying Can Still Be Civilized

Friday November 27, 2009

Porter Airlines is a short-haul carrier serving eight destinations in central / eastern Canada and the U.S. Porter is extraordinary for its "old school" approach to customer service. Imagine free WiFi and cappuccino while you wait for your flight. How about complimentary snacks and your choice of beer or wine - in an actual glass - on your flight. Unheard of these days you say? Not with Porter. Read more about the Porter experience.

Jane,

More good news about Porter airlines.

Heard about their good service to Nova Scotia from one our guests who stayed with us on Cape Breton.

My recollection is that he flew from Toronto to Sydney, Nova Scotia rather than Halifax, and then drove a short distance to Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort.

Do you know if they add Sydney as well as Halifax during the spring/summer season?

One of our guests at Cabot Shores on Cape Breton Island flew Porter and really liked it.

Is it true during the summer it goes to Sydney,

No Porter flys to just Halifax at this time. No plans for seasonal service into Sydney. The two Atlantic destinations they have so far are: Halifax and St. John’s NL.
